Nestled in the heart of historic Georgetown, the B&B Italia showroom in Washington D.C. is a striking example of refined contemporary design set within a preserved architectural gem. Santini Studio served as architect, interior designer, and construction manager, working in close collaboration with the B&B Italia design team to breathe new life into this landmark property.

The space honors its historical roots while introducing bold modern elements—most notably the dramatic blackened steel spiral staircase and the soaring, light-filled double-height room imagined as an urban courtyard. The renovation preserves the original millwork and proportions while introducing clean lines, iconic Italian furnishings, and thoughtful material contrasts. From the inviting entrance to the curated vignettes on the upper level, the showroom guides visitors through a seamless blend of timeless elegance and cutting-edge design. It stands as a celebration of craftsmanship, architectural integrity, and the sophisticated ethos of B&B Italia.
